Abdullah’s third-place finish in Race 1 delivered another podium result for Berg Racing and highlighted the team’s ability to capitalize on opportunities throughout the weekend.

Team Principal Allen Berg was encouraged by the drivers’ development at a circuit known for its technical complexity.

Mid-Ohio is a challenging and technical track, and as none of the drivers have been to Mid-Ohio previously, I expected this to be reflected in the results, which was the case. However, all three drivers showed continued progress and improvement throughout the weekend.

Driver Coach Drew Szuch added:

All of our drivers showed great improvement this weekend as they learned how to approach the different types of corners at a challenging track. We were able to build more foundational skills as we head into the second half of the season at New Jersey.

Throughout the weekend, the Berg Racing drivers adapted to the demands of Mid-Ohio, refining their approach to braking zones, corner sequencing, and race consistency. The experience gained is expected to contribute meaningfully to their continued development within the Ligier JFC championship.

Berg Racing now turns its attention to the next round of the championship at New Jersey Motorsports Park (NJMP), taking place July 31 to August 2, where the team will look to apply the lessons learned at Mid-Ohio as the championship enters its second half.
