Gastón Irazú to Start First at Mid-Ohio

LEXINGTON, Ohio (June 21, 2025) – Championship leader, Gastón Irazú will lead the Ligier Junior Formula Championship (Ligier JFC) field to down the grid as the lights go out for Race 1 at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course on Saturday afternoon at 4:35 p.m. ET. Setting the fourth-quickest lap of the session, Irazú inherited the pole after the three fastest cars were all issued technical violations following the session. With a 1:27.325 lap, Irazú secured the pole for his Champagne Racing team, with hometown star Cash Felber (No. 11 BioLongevity Labs / TownHall / Rebol / DWT / Matrix Mind Water / Phantom Fireworks / Champagne Racing Ligier JS F4) starting on the outside front row. Making his first start with Kiwi Motorsport, Zach Fourie (No. 15 Kiwi Motorsport Ligier JS F4) will line up third.

With two practice sessions yesterday, Pablo Benites Jr. (No. 44 Scuderia Buell Ligier JS F4) topped the charts in both, bettering Beckham Jacir (No. 7 STONICA / BELL / OMP / P1Doks / LC Racing Academy Ligier JS F4) by 0.324 seconds in the first practice, and Daniel Cará (No. 10 Tenuta Foppa & Ambrosi Wines / WorkHub / Cará Origin Motorsports Ligier JS F4) by 0.277 seconds in second practice.
