Edward Kennedy, Beckham Jacir Score First-Career Poles in Ligier JFC at NOLA

Kennedy On Pole in Ligier JFC Gen. 2 Class, While Jacir Starts Out Front in Ligier JFC Gen. 1 Class

AVONDALE, La. (April 10, 2026) – Edward Kennedy and Beckham Jacir will lead the Gen. 1 and Gen. 2 Class, respectively down the starting grid at NOLA Motorsports Park in Ligier Junior Formula Championship (Ligier JFC). 

With a 1:40.900 lap, Kennedy was the quickest in the Gen. 2 class driving the Ligier JS F422. His performance earned the Canadian driver his first-career pole in his Ligier JFC debut. 

Meanwhile, Jacir, the most recent winner in Ligier JFC, came to the NOLA-season opener and topped the qualifying charts. The sophomore driver had three fastest laps earning him the first starting position three times in 2025; however, Friday’s 1:42.146 lap earned him his first-career pole.

With two practices on Friday morning, Kennedy topped the Gen. 2 Class charts in both. The MLT Motorsports driver maintained a 1.897-second advantage in the first session and a 1.388 gap in the second.

In the Gen. 1 Class, Truly Adams (No. 47 Adams Motorsports Park / Troy Adams Coaching / OSRX / Mileage Quest / Berg Racing Ligier JS F4) topped the first session, with a 0.215-second advantage over Lazaro Bainotti (No. 11 Fundacion Fangio Rus seguros Cordoba deportes / Speed Factory Ligier JS F4). Eventual pole winner Jacir was third in the session. 

In second practice, Ava Hanssen (No. 26 One Powersports / Chiropractic Center of Elkhorn / NGK / Badger Mats Ligier JS F4) was quickest by 0.002 seconds. She was followed by Adams in second and Bainotti in third.
