Berg Racing Announces Tyler Wade for 2026 Ligier JFC Season

CLEVELAND, Ga. – April 6, 2026 – Berg Racing is proud to announce that Tyler Wade will join the team for the 2026 Ligier Junior Formula Championship (Ligier JFC) season, marking the American driver’s debut in competitive formula car racing.

Hailing from Alameda, Calif., Wade enters his first official racing season after an unconventional but determined journey into motorsport. Unlike many of his peers, Wade did not follow the traditional karting pathway. Instead, his pursuit began during the COVID-19 pandemic, where he built a sim racing program from the ground up before progressing into karting and ultimately formal driver development.

His transition to real-world racing came through Allen Berg Racing Schools, where he earned his competition license and continued to refine his skills. A subsequent test with Berg Racing at Road Atlanta in late 2025 led to the opportunity to compete full-time in the Ligier JFC.

Wade’s story is also defined by resilience. After earning early opportunities with professional teams, he stepped away from racing to support his family during a critical medical situation involving his sister. Her recovery and perseverance ultimately inspired his return to the sport and pursuit of his racing ambitions.

Now backed by partners including Dante’s Inferno and Perlson LLP, Wade will pilot the No. 9 entry as he begins his rookie campaign.

Tyler Wade, Driver, No. 9 Berg Racing Ligier JS F4:
“I’m extremely excited! To come in for my first year and be able to drive for a team with a reputation and culture as professional as theirs is a very rare opportunity. There’s so much knowledge and experience throughout all of the team staff, which I’ll be looking to tap into throughout the season to learn as much as possible. The support from the team has already been amazing. I know they have the ability to help me find the limits of myself and the car this year as I progress throughout the season. It’s an incredible feeling knowing that I get to start my racing career with this team. I look forward to being able to represent Berg Racing this year.

“I also want to give a massive thank you to my sponsor, Dante’s Inferno. Dante’s inferno is an incredible high end Jamaican restaurant and rooftop lounge that blends food, drink, music, and culture. Based in the Hayes Valley district of San Francisco, it’s a must try location for anyone visiting or living in the Bay area. I couldn’t be happier to be partnered with and represent Dante’s Inferno.”

Alex Berg, Sporting Director, Berg Racing:
“I first met Tyler at an Allen Berg Racing Schools event in 2023, and right away he came across as a straightforward, focused guy. He’s got a good head on his shoulders, works hard, and takes feedback seriously. That kind of attitude goes a long way in this sport.

“Up until a few weeks ago, Tyler’s season was uncertain and he was preparing to remain on the sidelines. That changed when he connected with Dante Buckley of Dante’s Inferno, whose support created the opportunity for Tyler to step into a competitive seat for the first time.”

Wade enters the season focused on development and consistency as he adapts to the demands of formula car racing, with the goal of progressing toward regular top-10 finishes in a highly competitive field.
