Team Champion Champagne Racing Sweeps the Podium
BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (October 21, 2025) – Champagne Racing had plenty of reasons to celebrate during the Ligier Junior Formula Championship (Ligier JFC) season finale at Barber Motorsports Park on Sunday. Team newcomer Beckham Jacir (No. 67 STONICA / BELL / OMP / P1Doks / Champagne Racing Ligier JS F4) earned his first-career win, while Gastón Irazú (No. 42 Elia Group / Baly / Canal 4 / Ancap / Champagne Racing Ligier JS F4) celebrated his driver championship title with a third-place result. Finishing second, Cash Felber (No. 11 BioLongevity Labs / TownHall / Rebol / DWT / Matrix Mind Water / Phantom Fireworks / Champagne Racing Ligier JS F4) joined his Champagne Racing teammates on the podium to score the organization’s second 1-2-3 sweep of the season, capping off their Team Championship title.
“It feels really great,” said Irazú about winning the championship. “We’ve had a really good year with Champagne Racing, and I’m really happy to win the championship for them.”
With steady rain falling overnight and lights out scheduled at 8 a.m., drivers and teams expected challenging track conditions on Sunday morning. The race director declared it a wet race, mandating that everyone use Hankook rain tires for the 30-minute competition. Roman Felber (No. 73 BioLongevity Labs / TownHall / Rebol / DWT / Matrix Mind Water / Phantom Fireworks / Champagne Racing Ligier JS F4) was set to lead the field down the starting grid, but as he came down pit lane during the formation lap, it was actually his twin brother, Cash Felber, who got the jump on the start after qualifying second. While Cash Felber led the opening two laps, both Jacir, who started seventh, and Irazú, who started sixth, were on a charge behind him. Climbing from his grid position, Jacir reached Felber’s rear wing as they raced down the front straight and made his move to take the lead as they raced through Turn 1 with 25 minutes left on the clock. Behind him, Irazú had climbed to third. With Jacir out front, the 17 year old proceeded to put on a clinic for the art of racing in the rain, pulling more than 13 seconds ahead of the field.
Just five minutes were left on the clock when a car spun off track and got stuck in the damp grass to cause a full-course caution. Unable to get the race restarted, Jacir led the field to the checkered flag with Cash Felber in second and Irazú in third.

“We had a good start,” said Jacir after climbing from the car. “First of all, I want to thank Williamson Racing; they got me some data and some on-board footage from the wet, so I had a bit of an advantage there. It was a good start. I guess everyone was a little scared, but I knew my way already. I had a little battle with Cash [Felber] there, but got the lead and just started putting down some good laps.”
With the 2025 Ligier JFC campaign officially complete, the championship will look toward 2026 and the pre-season test at NOLA Motorsports Park, March 23-24, just two weeks before the season opens at the same venue.
