BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (October 17, 2025) – For the second event in a row, Drew Szuch has secured the pole in Ligier Junior Formula Championship (Ligier JFC) as he fights to keep his championship hopes alive with the series entering its final weekend of the 2025 season. Laying down a 1:28.600 lap, Szuch (No. 28 Trend North / TEAM Concept Printing / Berg Racing Ligier JS F4) held a 0.114-second advantage over the field with his Berg Racing machine, while followed by a trio of Champagne Racing drivers—including his championship-rival Gastón Irazú (No. 42 Elia Group / Baly / Canal 4 / Ancap / Champagne Racing Ligier JS F4). Qualifying third, Irazú will line up directly behind Szuch, while Cash Felber (No. 11 BioLongevity Labs / TownHall / Rebol / DWT / Matrix Mind Water / Phantom Fireworks / Champagne Racing Ligier JS F4) lines up next to Szuch after qualifying second for the event.

Felber was among the quickest cars all day, leading both of Friday’s practices, while Champagne Racing drivers filled each of the top four spots in both sessions. Cash’s twin brother Roman Felber (No. 73 BioLongevity Labs / TownHall / Rebol / DWT / Matrix Mind Water / Phantom Fireworks / Champagne Racing Ligier JS F4) was the second quickest in Practice 1 and ranked third in Practice 2, while team newcomer Beckham Jacir (No. 67 STONICA / BELL / OMP / P1Doks / Champagne Racing Ligier JS F4) was fourth in Practice 1 and climbed to P2 in the second session.
All eyes, however, were on current championship points leader Irazú, who could lock in the 2025 driver championship during tomorrow’s Race 1. After ranking third in opening practice, the Uruguayan was fourth quick in Practice 2 before qualifying third.
