Ligier JS F4 Series Rebranded, Will Premiere as Ligier Junior Formula Championship

CHARLOTTE (March 13, 2025) – When cars unload at NOLA Motorsports Park in two weeks for the 2025 season opener, the initial step on Parella Motorsports Holdings’ (PMH) open-wheel ladder will have a new look and feel, as the Ligier JS F4 Series becomes the Ligier Junior Formula Championship (Ligier JFC).

Debuting a new name and logo for the 2025 season, Ligier JFC will continue to offer up-and-coming racers with an opportunity to develop their skills and learn the basics while competing on the most cost-efficient ladder system with the lowest cost per mile in North America.

“This championship has generated so much interest and excitement within the marketplace, providing a home for the widely-available Ligier JS F416 chassis to race, and an opportunity for young karters to transition to racecars as young as the age of 14,” said Scott Goodyear, President of FR Americas, F4 U.S. and Ligier JFC. “By providing a place for these cars and drivers, they’re able to gain exposure to PMH’s open-wheel ladder and find a home for the next several years as they work toward a career in INDYCAR, F1, IMSA or more.”

The 2025 Ligier JFC season will feature six race weekends, beginning with the NOLA SpeedTour at NOLA Motorsports Park (March 27-30). From there, they’ll visit Road America (May 15-18), Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course (June 19-22), New Jersey Motorsports Park (July 31-August 3), VIRginia International Raceway (September 18-21) and Barber Motorsports Park (October 17-19).

Sanctioned by PMH, the championship utilizes the first-generation Ligier JS F416 chassis, Hankook racing tires and Honda engines serviced by Mountune USA.

One of the most exciting aspects of the Ligier JFC is the opportunity it provides its champion—a full scholarship to compete in the FIA-certified Formula 4 United States Championship (F4 U.S.) the following season. Including the use of an FIA-approved Ligier JS F422 chassis, a Ligier Storm engine, two sets of tires per event from Hankook Motorsports USA, and race entry fees from PMH, the scholarship provides drivers with nearly everything they need to successfully take the next step in their career. Similar scholarship opportunities exist for the F4 U.S. champion to aid in their climb to the FIA-certified Formula Regional Americas Championship (FR Americas).

Tickets are on sale now for the NOLA SpeedTour at SpeedTour.net/NOLA, and the races will be live streamed on SpeedTour.TV.
